
McMillin Academic Center
Located in the Robert & Frances Plecker Athletic Performance Center, the McMillin Academic Center provides academic support in a variety of ways for the 450 student-athletes who attend James Madison University. The center was named after JMU’s first football coach and long-time University faculty member, Challace McMillin. The academic support area has a state-of-the-art computer lab, individual office areas for each academic support staff member, large and small rooms for personalized tutorial sessions, and a learning center to provide an atmosphere for quiet studying.
Hours of Operation:
Sunday 12 PM - 8 PM
Monday-Thursday 7:30 AM - 8 PM
Friday 7:30 AM - 5 PM
NOTE: Staff and student-athletes must uphold JMU Stop the Spread protocol and adhere to social distancing requirements.
Policies and Procedures of the McMillin Academic Center:
- Please sign in and sign out at the front desk.
- Swipe in and swipe out of the facility using your JAC Card when completing academic time.
- Swipe into the computer lab using your JAC Card.
- No food or drinks in the computer lab.
- No cell phones in the computer lab or learning center.
- Limit your use of non-school related web use in the computer lab.
